This is absolutely fantastic! And, I agree its about time!
This is my new obsession.... I literally check everything in my house on goodguide.com ...
I have no idea how we have lived life WITHOUT this info? I'm never going shopping without my iphone + this app, again. I check the products I'm about to buy (sanity-check on those impulse buys!) and create my own shopping list for all the best products (love the bright green, top rated products!!!) which makes it super easy while I'm in the store. And when i'm using goodguide.com at home, its really cool that my shopping list gets instantly updated when I pull it up on my phone. I'm telling EVERYONE I know about this ... I hope the goodguide folks continue to develop this iPhone app ... Can't wait to see some new features like reccomendations by my price point, or based on the store I'm in, or what's in my neighborhood.
Easy to use and VERY useful!

This app has been indispensable in its very first day of use! I used the app today in the supermarket, to see whether the toothpaste I have been using for years is hazardous to my health.. and it is- yikes!! I was then able to choose the best product for me and my wife, right there in the aisle of the supermarket, and then called her to let her know we changed brands... SO COOL! It's about time that I had a resource through my iphone to be able to find out if the products I'm buying are human-and-earth-friendly, and having this power in my pocket will no doubt change the way I shop! AWESOME APP!
Sweet!

Very cool app. I've already used GoodGuide at home and have been surprised by the health and enviro ratings for some of my favorite products. This is information that everyone should have, and being able to check out information at the store is a fantastic addition. I love the shopping cart!
Makes for a much more informed shopping experience

Happy to know I can spend much more wisely on shampoos, make-up, etc. Every consumer should know how to avoid to products potentially harmful to their health as well as the the manufacturer's record on other issues, such as labor and environment. We can all shop a little smarter now with this app.
What an awesome, rare find!

Great idea, great app. Lots of products. Going green?,,, this is the product for you. So glad to have this app now for when I go shopping. As a mom, I care about what products I'm using on my children.....
Would give it 5* but it lacks one thing (and I'm not sure if this is 'cause of my analytical brain)
- A little description of WHY the product is harmful would be of great help. I saw on a Jergens lotion that I should avoid 'tryclosan' and I'd love to know why
without having google why it's bad
Other than that small issue, and as someone mentioned earlier, it would be GREAT to see food items in the product library as well...
GREAT JOB GoodGuide, Inc.
An awesome app offered for free, but I'll admit, I would gladly pay for some of the features added as mentioned above!!
Very handy!

Having all that information on my phone makes life a lot easier! Now I don't have to dig around in my purse for a list written on a crumpled piece of paper. I just bought GoodGuide recommended baby shampoo, soap and lotion for my daughter. I'm going to try laundry and dishwashing soaps next. The search was actually really fast and fun to do. I'm going to share this app with all my mom friends.
Just great!!

This is a helpful app sometimes, but I wish it had more products in it's database. It's hard to criticize a free app., especially one with such "good" intentions, but I'm just sayin'... keep up the good work.
New food data so useful in the store

The nutrition info in the newest version is an amazing resource to have while I shop. Being able to instantly find a healthier alternative to the product I'm buying is really useful. I never go shopping without it.
Really a good idea!

App is slow, hardly ever finds a specific product I search for, and is really confusing on WHY some products are rated so low. It's like bad articles. If you claim something is bad, you need to tell us WHY it's bad and back your claims up! I DO like that on some products it does tell what ingredients to avoid, but not WHY and whether or not the specific product contains the questionable item. It's very vague, and this app makes an unreliable source of information.
