Description:

Do you want to get quick access to the lyrics of the songs on your iPhone/iPod Touch? Or do you even need them translated from a foreign language easily? Then Lyrics Finder is for you!

While listening to music on the iPhone/iPod Touch, starting Lyrics Finder will display the lyrics for the currently playing title (using the Lyrics Wikia web service). In addition to this, the program offers a translation option: if the song text is in a language that differs from the language configured on your iPhone/iPod Touch, you will be offered an icon to call up a translation (this is done via Yahoo Babelfish).

Function Overview:

* Lyrics Finder will automatically display the song text for the currently playing title (if available on Lyrics Wikia)
* Automatic detection of the language of the lyrics and a feature to automatically translate if necessary and possible (i.e. if Bablefish offers that specific language combination)
* Skip between titles in your playlist without closing Lyrics Finder
* Alternate choose between the display of the album cover or song text
* Simple intuitive controls

Common Questions:

* Until recently Lyric Wiki offered a function to download the raw lyrics of a song. However, in an agreement with the music industry, this function was disabled recently. For this reason (i.e. to ensure that the use of their lyrics is legal and within their agreement with the music industry) Lyrics Finder will display the Lyrics Wikia webpage in a web browser rather than trying to extract the text.

* You can zoom/enlarge the text of the lyrics by double tapping the area with the song text. You can even zoom deeper into it with a two finger swipe. This works exactly the same as in the iPhone/iPod Touch web browser.

* The translation button (Babelfish image) will only be shown, if a) the corresponding option is activated in Lyrics Finder, b) a song text/lyric was found on Lyric Wiki, c) the song isn’t an instrumental, d) the language of the song text on Lyric Wiki differs from the language on your iPhone/iPod Touch, and e) Yahoo Babelfish supports the language pair which would be required to do the translation.

* The translated lyrics are the result of an automated translation done by a software. It will be far from perfect in many aspects, but on the other hand it should be good enough to give you the general idea of what the song is about.

* This program is rated as 17+. The program itself does not contain explicit language, but obviously some song lyrics do. Since it is not possible to automatically filter titles with explicit lyrics, it is possible that the program will display explicit language from outside sources (Lyric Wiki).
