-----------------------

Njection Mobile (NMobile) is the most advanced SpeedTrap notification system developed for the iPhone. This application was built from the ground up for drivers so they can be notified to the location of speed traps, red light cameras, and speed detection devices. Drivers will be alerted audibly to approaching speed traps based on several different criteria. Some of the features include:

•User submitted speed trap help notify others of locations monitored. (http://njection.com/speedtrap)
•Speech notification of Speed Traps giving the type of trap and distance

•Search for speed traps local to you or around the world

•The only speed trap program that displays maps with full gesture support, just like the iPhone's built in maps program.

•Map is viewable in Landscape or Portrait

•No screen lock so you can use it along as you want

•Data can be added on each trap about when the area is monitored

•Use of a native Microsoft Virtual Earth implementation to provide one of the best mapping experiences on the iPhone

•The Active Intelligence Selection System (AISS) that alerts you to the most relevant speed trap based on your speed, direction of travel, and current time

•Submit and verify speed traps directly from the iPhone

•iPhone 3G strongly suggested for alert mode

•Njection.com does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties unlike other speed trap programs. Read the Privacy Policy.

Only thing this app needs is more users. It is much better functionally than the others out there, there just isn't enough info. I'm in MA and there is almost nothing to show on here, which is crazy. I'll do my part to help out...hope others will do the same because this definitely could be the best out there and grab 5 stars.

Checked for red light cameras in my area and found a few I never noticed before. Shows multiple speed traps around my residence and have in fact noticed cops sitting in those spots. Great app that has probably saved me from getting a ticket or two in unfamiliar areas.

It's pretty simple guys - you need as many people using this as possible to get the max (accurate) count of speed traps listed. If your serious - eliminate registration or do it by iPhone number. Put a giant bulls eye on the screen and let us tap when we see a trap. Then give us a place at the end of the trip to enter details. Give incentive to list traps - give points for each trap that's validated by 2 other people and then the leading point earners get a prize like a 2 hour traffic lawyer meeting or a radar detector Maybe some Twitter integration

This is probably the best piece of software I've used in the navigation section of the App Store. Not only does it do what is promised, it does it without annoying ads, beeps, or buzzes. I would highly recommend this application to anyone who is looking for a great app that allows them to find speed traps and other useful info.

I have used other navigation software similar, I believe it was called Trapster. Trapster looked and felt like crap, but this application just feels like a one-of-a-kind program that just works. Plain and simple.

NMobile is a fairly good app. It does what it needs to do and gets out of the way for everything else.

Camera location is cool, but the speed traps should not be up loaded, what if your kid was taken and the police are set up looking for a vehicle & or individuals and when you upload their location you could be telling the kidnapper where not to go. Same goes for flashing your lights at cars approching a police officer on the side of the road. Please think about it.

It's a nice idea for an app, but this isn't any good. The llocation is always off by a mile or so, and it didn't even pick up a major highway on which i was driving.
Doesn't work

Alerts don't work at all. Half the time it had me on the wrong road and didn't pick up the highway. Double tap to zoom doesn't work either.

I downloaded this App and Trapster on the same day. When I first signed on to Trapster, I saw a lot of listed speed traps. Most of which are accurate as I know my area! When I signed in to this program, and browsed through the majority of Los Angeles area, I did not see any listings at all!! Am I not using this correctly? Or is no one using this App and reporting anything?? So far this is useless! I recommend using Trapster.
good, not great

Version 1.1.3
I just finished a 250 mile trip from Philadelphia to Western, Massachusetts using this app almost the entire trip. My impressions:

1. First of all, a great idea for an app. Was just thinking that I needed something like this when I discovered it, and it was free.

2. Map rendering is far slower than the iPhone's Maps app. Generally, I prefer to stay as far away from anything Microsoft as possible, but a map's a map, right? Well, almost. Just a personal preference, but I noticed that maps for this app do not include all rail lines. Just like to know where they are. Also, too many times, the map rendering would just freeze. On a 5 hour trip, I restarted the application no fewer than 4 times just to update my location. I had no problem with location accuracy, however.

3. I would really like to see traffic conditions added to this app. I had to switch from one app to another just to check on traffic.

4. The sleep lock sometimes worked. Sometimes didn't.

5. The app did not save me once on the trip. I did pass three active traps that were not located by the app. I had some trouble entering them in the app each time. First time, it just wouldn't work. Second time, it froze the app. Third time, it seemed to work okay. Program was very jerky and often unresponsive to gestures.

6. Love the alerts. Nicely done, but do I really need to hear about a speed trap on a secondary road when I'm on the interstate?
