FStream

A good app for manually catching streams. It's kludgy if you don't know how to set it.

Unlike apps like Pandora, this app currently does not stream in the background on IOS4 enabled devices. Hoping for an update as this app works great!

Had to downgrade my iPhone from OS 4.0 back to 3.1.3 because 4.0 was ridiculously slow. Having since downloaded the updated version of FStream -- which only works with 4.0 -- I can't use it. I can see fixing your App so that it will work with 4.0, but why make it so that it won't work with anything prior? That requires everyone to upgrade their iPhone OS, whether they want to or not. That's just stupid. Every other app I have which has updated to ensure compatability with OS 4.0 also works with the older firmware. Just plain dumb...

Would have given it 5 stars, but can only stream when connected to my WiFi network. It appears App will not stream using the 3G phone network. Or am I missing a config option? Other then that and the sleep issue, Excellent App. If those 2 things get fixed, I would $donate$.

I've been using this app to listen to an .ogg station every day for the past few months on my iPhone 3G. I have no desire to upgrade to iOS 4.0 after seeing how badly it can slow down my phone. Now suddenly because I upgraded to the latest version of FStream I can't use it anymore. Therefore it gets one star from me. Please, please, PLEASE allow use on older iOS versions. I BEG YOU!

Very dumb move... I downloaded the update for the application and iTunes tells me, can not install on iPod because it requires a newer version of firmware. I guess anybody with first gen equipment who can't upgrade to iOS 4.0 (or those who choose not to upgrade to 4.0) are now locked out. Thankfully it didn't delete the copy I had on my first gen. iPod. What happens if I ever need to restore my iPod? It's gone. The new version now stored on my computer will never sync to my iPod Touch. Thanks for throwing out all of us with first gen. equipment... I'd advise to bring back the old version, via a different download or something, or make the new version backward compatable, so those of use with first gen. equipment can still enjoy the use of the program! ** Everyone who finds they can no longer use FStream should click the support link and bombard them with support email requesting the program be fixed, or the Version 1.0.5 be re-released so that those of us who are stuck with the older firmware can still enjoy the app...

Cool little app that streams pretty much any internet radio station, and has a bunch of presets as well. My only gripe is that it needs to be "warmed up" by opening Safari or some other application first in order to establish a connection. An easy work-around but annoying nonetheless. Minus one star for that, otherwise a great app.

It was a great APP., but we should not be forced to update the OS everytime a new revision comes out. Please consider support for OS 3.0 and greater.

I have been waiting for an applications like this for years since I left the northeast ohio market. I'm a huge local sports fan and now I'm able to once again listen to my favorite sports talk shows anywhere in the country, whether I'm at home, work or the gym. And I can't forget- the ability to record and playback broadcast for a later date. Great Job!!!!
