We all know the recent drop in the price of oil is only a temporary reprieve. As oil production is cut back worldwide and exploration projects are cancelled, it’s only a matter of time before the price of oil skyrockets again. Meanwhile, greenhouse gases pose a constant threat, and polar ice caps are continuing to melt at an alarming pace. Alternative energy projects like solar, biofuels and wind can help prevent climate change.

President Obama’s stimulus is a step in the right direction, but we all need to do more to focus on clean energy- both to help prevent global warming and to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. The world will be a very different place 30 years from now. What the world looks like for our children depends on what we do now.

Note- This app is a work in progress, with Green Ideas, Green Facts and Trivia questions submitted by users added to the database. Share your knowledge, your ideas and your expertise. Knowledge is a powerful weapon, and we need to tackle this problem together.

1. Crashes/Freezes on Green News tab 2. Trivia question answer about lightbulbs has glaring misprint saying the most common bulb is CFL. 3. Can't actually submit anything since text box won't select 4. No contact / info tab 5. No "take action" tab 6. -> no "contact legislator" tab 7. Trivia seems to have an ethanol axe to grind. More suggestions and less assaults might work better. Get a paid or great volunteer editor to clean up copy. Move budget from graphics to proper iPhone coding. Take tips from 3rd Whale and Energy Circle websites/apps. Include some open source renewable energy calculators. I gave you a 3 for effort, but I'll check back periodically to reevaluate. -Aaron at Campbell Energy Seattle

Not totally accurate info, and looks like no editorial supervision on posts, but could become a very useful tool

First of all, global warming isn't what we are reviewing--it's this app. I think the idea is great and I like the fact that it also includes green news (though I would like to see this enhanced). I think it's a great start, and hopefully it will improve :)
