Version 1.0
I've been super excited about the potential of the iPhone getting a program that brings GPS rangefinding... I played last night using the vCaddy software on a course that does not have great cell phone reception. As a whole I found the distances were fairly accurate, but as a low handicapper I could not trust it, sometimes they could be WAY off... On some of the other holes the GPS would never sync up. I am going to play a course that has great cell reception and see if that adds to the accuracy, but sadly I think the iPhone just doesnt have strong enough GPS capabilities for rangefinding to be accurate enough to rely on. Worth the $10, sure I think so... on poorly marked courses its good to have something, but you will find yourself missing greens on account of an unreliable distance.
