First of all, NO HOTELS, only restaurants!!! Isn't this supposed to be the Michelin Red Guide? The Red Guide has always included hotels! As if the traveler only needs to know where to eat ! As mentioned in previous reviews, this app seriously needs to be updated for use without access to the internet. Why can't the data reside on the iPhone?! With international data plans so exorbitant in cost, this app just comes up so short. I used the old Michelin Palm app on my old phone, which worked fine without internet. Since Michelin has had the same feedback since their first debut and plenty of time to fix the issue, one can only guess they do not wish to satisfy the customer.
Very poor design. Almost unusable

Extremely poorly designed app offers virtually ZERO integration with the many features of the iPhone. In fact, apart from using location services to search around your current location, it offers no other. You can not click on a phone number to call the restaurant for a reservation, or click on a url to visit a web site. While the search list can order hits by distance, and then providws an address, one can not tell wether that place is North, South, East or West. You cannot click on the address for a quick Google Maps location. Hell, you can not even select and copy it to transfer it manually to the Google Maps app. All you can do is take a notepad and a pen and jot the details down! In the age of Internet, on a platform like the iPhone, this app is a disgrace and a gross sign of arrogance from Michelin. Stay away and, if you have to, buy the paper guide.
Limited practicality

As an American travelling to France, I looked forward to being able to get quick reviews of nearby restaurants. I was searching for a Yelp alternative; this was not. It did have brief reviews (in English) of a select number of restaurants all over France (as in the printed guide), with accurate prices. I appreciated the restaurant customer reviews as well, though often in French or Italian. However, it does require an internet connection (as advertised), which limited me to free wifi hotspots.
In the end, it was great at helping us find 2 fantastic restaurants in Provence. But it would be more useful if it could store more info onboard (without needing internet).

This is the worst app I have ever used. You can not find a restaurant by name. It is useless. Totally inadequate, user unfriendly, and overpriced!
