Description
Touch Mouse by Logitech turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a wireless trackpad and keyboard for your computer.

Do you connect your computer to your TV? Touch Mouse is the perfect solution for when you want to stay in control from the comfort of your couch. Point, click, scroll and type in any application—on a Mac or a PC.

Touch Mouse works over Wi-Fi, so you can use it anywhere in the house. And to make typing easier, text is displayed on the screen of your iPhone or iPod touch as you type, so you can see what you’re doing without having to continually look up and down.

FEATURES

- Multi-touch trackpad with option for two or three buttons
- Two-finger scrolling
- Keyboard with modifier keys
- On-screen text display while typing
- Show or hide the keyboard at any time
- Trackpad and keyboard are available in landscape and portrait modes

IMPORTANT

To make Touch Mouse work, you will need to download the Touch Mouse Server software from www.logitech.com/touchmouse and install it on your Mac or PC. This software enables the Touch Mouse app on your iPhone or iPod touch to find your computer and communicate with it.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- Mac with OS X 10.5 or higher
- PC with Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
- Computer and iPhone or iPod touch must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- Touch Mouse Server software must be installed and running on the computer you want to control

I downloaded the file as they suggested, but does not even launch. Since I cannot install the sw, I cannot test it. Please fix it. The system requirement says: MacOSX 10.4 required.

Whole setup was a breeze :-). I loved the simplicity of the user interface and the overall experience. Responsiveness over Wi-Fi is excellent and certainly one of the best one I've seen so far. If you are looking for a keyboard and mice app I would strongly recommend this one. A great piece of application from Logitech.
Excellent

Exactly what I need for my living room MAC server. All the others are charging $$$ for the same functionality but this one is free from Logitech. Logitech rocks!

Well, I know I shouldn't be broad - so specifically, it doesn't work with MY Mac. I downloaded the software on both the Mac and the iphone. I even read the detailed instructions which state to copy the program to your applications folder. Then open by double-clicking. Nothing. It doesn't open, so without the server software, the whole app is useless. All those positive reviews must be for the Windows version. And yes I do have OS X 10.4. Until they fix this, it gets a 1 star (they don't allow zeros).

Have used quite a few paid and free apps that are similar to this and one thing for sure this is the simplest most useful remote keyboard and mouse app without unnecessary junks. I liked the two finger scrolling and the connection notification of the server software. Very nice.

Call me picky. I prefer apps that work. The server software wouldn't launch to my menu. Wasted a lot of time troubleshooting with no answers to be found for macs. Gave up. Deleted.
Connection failed

Doesn't work, all I get is "connection failed, remote host unreachable.". The app's browser doesn't see my desktop (with the server sw installed) and the IP address didn't work either. Other iPhone apps such as Recorder and Air Sharing work fine with this Win7 x64 desktop which is on a wired segment. My laptop which is on wireless shows up in the Logitech app browse, but gets the same error on connect. Logitech web site for this app is incomplete and has no apparent way to discuss in a forum (the forum link is broken) or get support.

I just spent 25 minutes with the Logitech support staff on the phone. After 10 minuets of them insisting it does not work on Mac (they insisted it was a PC only product, when all of the product lit says both Mac and PC), they finally tell me the spec's all over iTunes app store and their own website are incorrect. It needs 10.5 or above to run on Mac computers. Don't waste your time if your still running any OS below 10.5

The app store says 10.4 or higher BUT the webpage says the system requirement is 10.5 or 10.6. I tried running on Tiger and it doesn't work. Tiger users don't waste your time.

I installed the app and the server on my laptop. It starts working fine but after few seconds it gets stuck. It's not really useful given the problems.
